Unable to create Windows Openstack 2012 image using CloudbaseIT's guide BSOD 0xc0000001 error

Hello everyone,

I have an Openstack Icehouse setup all working fine and dandy, but I need to put some Windows images in our setup.

I followed the guide here at http://www.cloudbase.it/create-windows-openstack-images/ but as the guide is a year old I used the virtio-win-0.1-81.iso as it was the latest in the stable repository. Anyway the image was created fine but when I boot i get the BSOD then a status 0xc0000001 error.

Does anybody have any experience using virtio-win-0.1-81.iso tools or do they have a version they know works? I am running on KVM so there should be any QEMU issue here.

Thanks in advance for any help!
