Openstack guest instance console logs showing following debug message

DEBUG cloudbaseinit.osutils.windows [-] Resetting password for service user: .\cloudbase-init reset_service_password c:\program files\cloudbase solutions\cloudbase-init\python\lib\site-packages\cloudbaseinit\osutils\windows.py:1050

why cloudbase-init service user trying to change password?

For security reasons. That account can exist in the sysprepped os image. Not resetting it would potentially give access to the account from other machines booted from the same image. This behaviour is controller by an option in the configuration file.

Thanks Alexpilotti for your response. So when this password reset routine will be called either once right after spinning the instance or after specific time frequently? Moreover, what is the other use of this admin user post spinning the instance?

Also a successful reset of password requires metadata server reachable as well?
