Hello how can I add a prefix in front of the hostname of the machine. When I remove the cloudbaseinit.plugins.common.sethostname.SetHostNamePlugin it creates the machine name with win-xxxxxxx instead of the hostname that is given when creating the instance. I would need something like rs-ccss-xxxxxxx instead of the win-xxxxxx is it possible?

Hello,

According to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/win..., you can do it, if you set the proper Unattend.xml configurations in the proper passes.

See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/win... and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/win... .

You can open an issue at https://github.com/cloudbase/windows-..., as the tool can help you with the creation of such an image.

Thanks.
