I would have to implement a process or procedure to move vms from an openstack-based disaster recovery environment to the vmware-based original one (production). I have identified a manual procedure but I'd like to automate the process as much as possible: I know that coriolis supports migration from vmware to openstack, but does it also support the reverse process?

Hello, and thanks for reaching out to us!

Although Coriolis already ships with a plugin for using OpenStack as a source platform (using either Swift backups, Ceph, or Coriolis' native Replication engine), there currently is no implementation for a plugin for VMWare as a destination platform. (VMWare is only currently supported as a source)

Given Coriolis' pluggable nature, however, this is something which can be achieved with relatively low iteration time on our end, so please feel free to reach out to sales@cloudbasesolutions.com and present your use case requirements for further details.

Hope this helped, Nashwan.
