CloudbaseInit.0.9.8x64 installation error on win srv 2008 r2 sp1 x64

I got error during installation like below: Cannot find Microsoft VC90 CRT x86 DLL. Please install the VC++ 2008 SP1 x86 redistributable package before installing this software.

software: CloudbaseInit.0.9.8x64.msi OS: win srv 2008 r2 sp1 x64

This error never disppear wether I install the VC++ 2008 SP1 x86/x64 redistributable packages which downloaded from MS official website.

Anyone encountered the same problem like this?

Hi Edward,

The installer includes a copy of the VC++ 2008 x64 redistributable. We'll try to reproduce the error on the same environment to check if by any chance it doesn't get installed properly.

Hello all If your facing VC++ 2008 x64 redistributable ,Please download this version CloudbaseInitSetup098x64 to work in 2008 R2 . Link :- http://www.cloudbase.it/cloud-init-wi... It worked for me .. Thanks :)
