using latest download of v-magine, hyper-v windows server 2016 tech preview 3, neither Windows eval instance nor imported Ubuntu image are getting dhcp addresses

here is what I think is the relevant neutron log entries. I'm really new to Openstack so I'm not sure where to look next.

Could you please post the output of the following commands:

neutron net-show your-net-id

and on Hyper-V Server

get-VMSwitch

get-VMNetworkAdapterVlan -VMName name-of-vm

Also, you say that they are not getting dhcp addresses, what happens if you set the address manually? Does it work then?

At the end of this page there is a guide for troubleshooting that has a section refering to Vlan filtering by the NIC driver. Please check if that is the case.

I set the address manually and still could not ping my default gateway. This is on the public network, on the private network, I can ping the default gateway, but not anything further. I tore the box down to experiment with another openstack configuration, I'll build it up again and get more info.

and no, vlan filtering is not turned on.

if I do a tcpdump on the "data" interface on the openstack-controller I can see arp requests when I set a static ip on the instance and ping the default gateway on the same vlan. I do NOT see arp requests or any other traffic from the instances on any of the other interfaces.

I lied, private network 10.0.0.x CAN get to the internet, its just the public that cant reach it default gateway.
