Hi,

Using the SMB cinder driver on a single file server is pretty self explanatory.

However how does it work with a cluster? Like a Scale-out-File-Server?

I presume I need to install it across all the cluster nodes but how does the cinder service distinguish between the different nodes and understand it is a clustered system?

I can't find much information anywhere about how the SMB cinder driver is used in this scenario.

Also the last thing the VM is doing is installing the LIS components before reboot. Is the LIS components necessary to v-magine? Where can I disable this part of the deployment and try v-magine with CentOS built-in LIS?

The VM never finishes booting, this is after 1 hour of waiting. Rebooting the VM just repeats the same boot sequence, where it is basically hung waiting for the start job to finish.

Hi, I've just started using v-magine today and I'm getting the same error. My environment is Server 2016 with Gui + Hyper-V installed. I applied the extra command to install tinyrpc into install-rdo.sh I even tried to delete everything and restart v-magine and it reproduced the error.

I just want say that I encountered the same error on my attempt to run v-magine the first time.

For me the issue was a proxy server in front doing transparent proxy. In the past it has caused problems for me downloading Centos patches, so I already had a whitelist to bypass the proxy for certain server IP's. The server I had v-magine running was one of these servers.

What tripped up was that my whitelist did not contain IPv6 addresses and the Openstack controller autoconfigured an IPv6 address on my network and then proceeded to use this address as the preferred one to try and install packages over.
