2017-04-20 16:39:30 +0200 | commented answer | CloudBase Init doesn't work on Broadwell Xeon V4 Systems Turns out it was a 32 bit version of Windows 10 and we were using the 64 bit CloudBaseInit product! Once we used the 32 bit version, we were off and running about in the clouds. Thanks for your help. PS: Is it getting more and more difficult to work with Microsoft OS's? |

2017-04-17 22:05:27 +0200 | asked a question | CloudBase Init doesn't work on Broadwell Xeon V4 Systems Hi, We have implemented the SuSE OpenStack cloud and have tried to "cloud base init" our images. We see this error when we attempt to run on our Windows 10 image "software does not support this processor version" We've tried several routes to fix this: Change processor type in KVM Tried to install on an OpenStack instance Tried to set host-passthru in KVM settings Tried various processor types in KVM settings Our servers are Dell R420 using Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 (Broadwell) Are these processors supported? |
