Unable to connect to server with FreeRDP-WebConnect

Recently installed the FreeRDP-WebConnect client on a Windows Datacenter 2012 R2 Azure VM. Opened endpoints over port 8000 and can access can reach our box via http://OurExternalIP:8000. When entering our credentials to authenticate, and trying variations of the host name, by name, external ip, internal ip, or leaving blank, we are unable to pass through and connect. We can RDP into our machine all day long with the native Microsoft mstsc.exe product. Firewall off or on (and configured correctly), same issue. Not sure what else to check from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Make sure that you can RDP out of the VM that has FreeRDP-WebConnect installed. Whenever you use WebConnect you need to think relatively to that VM, because all connections are done from that server.

Also check the Event Viewer to see if there are any problems there, coming from wsgate.

Thank you, Cosmin.
