Define user password via user-data or automatically

Hello, I am brand new to cloudbase-init (not even tried it yet!) We just got the approval from our Security to install it on our templates. One of their requirements is that the password we set for a new user will be encrypted in user-data, or we get the auto-generated password. Currently we work on vCenter but soon we will use the same images on Openshift Virtualization.

1. What kind of encrypted passwords are supported by cloudbase (if any)
2. If encryption is not an options, suppose we choose to use an auto-generated password. How do we get that password back in either vCenter or OCPv?
